Creative Critical Reflection 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The lyrics behind the song really represented how most rap music videos are nowadays. A lot of the famous rappers now brag about their accomplishments and conquests. Now I was more tasteful in the filming of the video, but it didn’t show the most extravagant parts of a rap music video. I showed the actor having possession of a vehicle, a nice scenery, one of the latest iPhones to come out, and the appearance of friends/companions. I don’t have the money to include the aspects that are vitalized in actual music videos, however. In these videos there’s more money and jewelry that’s flaunted. Women are even used for attraction in the videos. There was no challenge to any conventions within the music video, not that it’s impossible.
