CCR Music Video

Creative Critical Reflection 1.       How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The lyrics behind the song really represented how most rap music videos are nowadays. A lot of the famous rappers now brag about their accomplishments and conquests. Now I was more tasteful in the filming of the video, but it didn’t show the most extravagant parts of a rap music video. I showed the actor having possession of a vehicle, a nice scenery, one of the latest iPhones to come out, and the appearance of friends/companions. I don’t have the money to include the aspects that are vitalized in actual music videos, however. In these videos there’s more money and jewelry that’s flaunted. Women are even used for attraction in the videos. There was no challenge to any conventions within the music video, not that it’s impossible. Some music videos from rappers can show the oppression of the past, trials and tribula...

My Music Video

Image
After these weeks of working on my music video, I can honestly say I tried my best. During the filming process I had fun with my actors. Before that though I had to endure two bus rides to the filming location. The walking after getting off had to be the worst part about this whole production process. Filming the driving scenes became fun however when they became driving lesson after since I taught the actor some things about driving. The driving instruction was not the only fun part about this production. As I became more involved in the video, I made an appearance and could barely keep a straight face. I'm usually a shy person and don't like to appear in anything, but I wasn't like that for this production. You can say, it brought me out of my shell. After filming, the editing process was not as fun as my last production. There were technical issues that kept repeating themselves, for example. Made the video impossible to see while editing it. Also, I realiz...

A Great Second day for my Music Video

Image
On the second day of filming, circumstances changed from the first day and we were able to film earlier than the first day. This greatly helped because a lot of scenes needed the natural lighting from the sun. We filmed pan shot of the actor walking to the car. On my storyboard I only said the scene was going to be a pan shot outside but I improvised. We also filmed the actor walking away from the camera signifying the end of the video. Then we filmed a few more shots in the car because on the previous day the shots weren't all that great. We also had to improvise the scene of the actors sitting on the couch due to the couch being unavailable on unforeseen circumstances. So, we instead filmed the scene on a set of stairs. I filmed 2 sets of tilt shots because I wasn't sure whether the tilt shot up or down was better. Before filming that the actor was actually scared because the sce...
