Filming this commercial was fun. Directing was fun, felt like I had a lot of power in production. The actor himself said he enjoyed the experience. At one point it was tense for the actor, he felt nervous. To ease him up we played a game against one another for fun. That really got him in the mood to actually play in front of the camera. While there were some challenges in production, I believe my decisions made it easier throughout filming day. Like completing the shooting portion at another basket in the neighborhood for example. I believe I could have done better in some aspects when it came to editing. The cuts could have been more subtle. The voiceover that I implemented could have been better. I had no enthusiasm in it, I was trying to go for a James Earl Jones vibe. Just came out monotonous though. No matter how many times I retook the recording, my voice always came out that way. It did go along with the video's runtime. Pretty proud of that because I was nervous making it. Thought I was stuttering the whole time. The background music was easy to choose, because I had something in mind already. It kept the video upbeat, no thanks to my voice. Overall, wasn't so bad for my first production, confident in my ability to do better in the future.

Comparing 9, the short, and 9, the full length movie

Watching the extract I had many different feelings towards it. I felt it was a bit boring at first due to no sound/ audio. Also, the action came around a bit longer than expected. The plot started off with some robots looking for something. That happened to be a light bulb, eventually, something that was lurking in the shadow popped out. But during the mystery of what was lurking definitely struck excitement in what was going to happen next. There were many special effects seeing that it was a more futuristic movie with robots. So very cool camera effects or CGI. The full-length film was meatier in all the different things it explained that I was confused about in the short film. The moral of the story gave the full story to what was going on. The plot development was a bit longer than the short film because they had to show the back story.
