Editing my Music Video

                                                    Editing Music Video

To edit my blog I used the same application that I used for my commercial project, ClipChamp. Before editing I get some food to enjoy and help me focus on the task at hand. A bottle of water and pretzels are really my go to. Now in editing, I first dumped the audio for the radio edit of "Got it on Me" onto my laptop. I then input the audio into ClipChamp. I realized I had so many takes of some scenes when trying to get it on my laptop. It was a hassle in time to get them all on the laptop. After doing so I dumped my individual videos/scenes, and began editing them on the app. Some scenes had to be cut in their timing to better fit the run time however. Transitions were added to some scenes to make it more similar to rap music videos. It was a good choice I believe, but won't know until the final product is finished. There are two scenes where a slow motion effect was added to better capture the particular scene's environment. During editing, I realized that this music video had a lot more potential. The audio behind it is great of course, but the acting could have been more professional. The editing process really  makes you think about how things could have been better during the filming process. I played the edit for my best friend to see because she's my biggest critic and I could do better.  Going through the editing process, I was disappointed in the fact that I had to cut some scenes. In order to stay in the 1 minute runtime there had to be some sacrifices. If it wasn't for that limitation I feel like I would have created a greater music video. The whole song is great and maybe after completing the music video, I'll make another one for me and my friends to enjoy. Below is the start of my editing process.
