 - What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? 

To begin with, the producer credit came first. Next to be presented was the actors of the film. Then the title of the film was displayed, "Mystic Pizza" 

- What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  

Images of what seems to be the main characters of the movie are prioritized in this opening sequence. 

- What connotations do these images carry? 

It can be drawn from these images that the main character have grown up with one another. Photos from toddler to adolescence and finally early adulthood all of the main characters. This implies a coming of age type of film. 

- How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? 

From the outset you ca not actually tell what the genre is yet. Not enough has been provided for us to believe its a dramedy. 

 - What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience?  

No strategies are used other than the showing of the young women which could've appealed to the audience which was young adult to teenage women. 

- How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. 

From the opening sequence I can tell that photoshop was definitely used. The production obviously was trying to make us believe that the character grew up with one another, not great though since the photoshop was poorly made. In editing again, the opening sequence did have non-diegetic music over the transitions from photo to photo.

I started the opening of the play with a gradual opening to create a bit of suspense but, also to give the audience some time to get ready. The added track shot also adds a feel of the audience being their walking with jack, it's overall more intimate. Then after the track shot, there is a fast shot of the play and or movie getting straight to the point. (starting the show) The black screen transition is untimely to show the audience that one scene has ended and that was moving on to something else. This helps with older audience viewers as well guiding them to the next scene. The close-up shots added also add drama with it being a shot that happens out of nowhere. Also, the back and forth shots of jack's pacing add suspense as well to over exaggerate the feeling that's taking place.                                                  Research Blog: Soft (2007)               Soft (2007) is a tense short film drama directed by Simon Ellis. The film is fifteen minutes long and depicts the terrorizing of a father and son by neighborhood teens. Throughout the film we see the emotions of the characters. The father remains visibly scared of the young teens but the son remains angry. The director uses close ups to give the audience a better understanding of the characters emotions. The conflict of the film is that while they are being terrorized the father doesn’t want to retaliate because of his fear and tries to keep the son from doing anything. Planning for my Spalding Basketball commercial

                                                           Planning Blog  Props   There won't really be too much if any props in the commercial. Costumes   In the commercial, the actor(s) will have on appropriate gym clothes. He will wear athletic gym shorts, with a tank top that is playable in. Basketball shoes would have to be mandatory, for grip on the court and best performance. The actor may wear compression tights, depending on the conditions.
