Planning: Storyboard
I started the opening of the play with a gradual opening to create a bit of suspense but, also to give the audience some time to get ready. The added track shot also adds a feel of the audience being their walking with jack, it's overall more intimate. Then after the track shot, there is a fast shot of the play and or movie getting straight to the point. (starting the show) The black screen transition is untimely to show the audience that one scene has ended and that was moving on to something else. This helps with older audience viewers as well guiding them to the next scene. The close-up shots added also add drama with it being a shot that happens out of nowhere. Also, the back and forth shots of jack's pacing add suspense as well to over exaggerate the feeling that's taking place. The showing of the clock or time passes by as creates more drama that keeps our movie and or purgative on the right path. On what we ultimately wanted our theme to be. The medium shot adds a sense of being there as well because that audience is able to see the surroundings and almost put themselves in their place. 1. A close up of Jack’s phone with the rejection email, Close up shot on the phone
2. Mid shot of the Jack pacing back and forth, contemplating what went wrong
3. Cut to black as Jack leaves the classroom
4. Tracking shot of Jack running on track still shocked about the decision
5. Pushing himself, starts passing others who comment on his determination
6. Two shot, Tracking, Student begins running alongside Jack inferring about his situation
7. Tracking shot, Mid, Jack runs off from student, talking to himself
8. Wide shot, students ahead of Jack asking if he’s ok based on his appearance
9. Two shot, Student catches back up to Jack to stop him from continuing running
10. Mid shot, pan, Jack suddenly collapses as he says he’s fine. Students begin calling for aid
11. Transition, to gravestone where Jack now lies.
12. Mid shot, a student from the previous scene comes up and says a few words at his grave.
