Planning Storyboard for my Spalding Basketball Commercial

Image
Planning Storyboard for my Spalding Basketball Commercial  Scene 1:  In this scene the Spalding basketball will be filmed in place. The shot in this scene would be a close up. The basketball would be in the center of the basketball court. Might be in motion if the shot looks better like that. Scene 2:  The actor in this scene would be handling the basketball. The actor would perform a few moves with the ball, showing the grip of it when they are holding the ball. This is an attribute that basketball players look at when buying this ball.  Scene 3:  Filming this scene is actually a tracking shot. The actor will be filmed going to the basket laying the ball up. Will be filmed going towards the basket from the free throw line. Right above the free throw line actually. Scene 4:  The actor is running down the court, baseline to baseline. Of course this is a tracking shot, just want to have the real feel of one of these co...

Planning for my Spalding Basketball commercial

Planning Blog  Props   There won't really be too much if any props in the commercial. Costumes   In the commercial, the actor(s) will have on appropriate gym clothes. He will wear athletic gym shorts, with a tank top that is playable in. Basketball shoes would have to be mandatory, for grip on the court and best performance. The actor may wear compression tights, depending on the conditions. Schedule   On 10/22/2020, I  will research conventions of basketball commercials.  On 10/23/2020, I will create the storyboard for the 1 minute commercial.  On 10/24/2020, I will agree and establish with the actor on the location, props, costumes, schedule and  the backup plan if needed. On 10/25/2020, I will film the commercial taking from it the necessa...

Research Blog: Commercial Conventions

Research: Commercial Conventions            I will be filming a Spalding basketball commercial. In these type of commercials, the sport being viewed by the audience is ordinarily basketball. Ordinarily, the basketball is more focused on while being handled by the player. The grip of the basketball is shown to be great, with the usual tight handles of a basketball player. Basketball antics, dunks, dribbling, and shooting the ball are also emphasized. The point is to show the audience the excitement players have with the basketball.  These commercials use pathos when it comes to the athletes of the audience, appealing to the emotions of the athletes by using what was probably their experience playing a sport or what they strive for.  Logos is used in the commercials. They use it to convince the audience. Wi...

Intro Blog

Welcome to my Intro Blog for AICE Media Studies. My name's Erickson Sanon, and I'm in the 11th grade. I've been going to Fort Lauderdale High since I was a freshman, coming out of the eighth grade. I came to Fort Lauderdale specifically for the Cambridge program. Being able to get a scholarship and go to college would make my parents proud. They didn't have the chance to do the same in Haiti. If you ask anyone about me, they'd say I'm a nice , intelligent and funny kid. I don't like to ruffle any feathers either. I'm an athletic kid who, when not playing football, is doing his best in his academics. Although, the pandemic has made things difficult for most of the year for me with virtual learning as the new normal, and the cancellation of spring sports last year. When it came to choosing our courses for the 2020-2021 school year I chose AICE media studies because I was interested in the course. I've always had an interest in filming and photogra...
