Marketing through Social Media

Today in my group I have been designated as the Social Media Director of my group. With this job I have the duties of creating social media having to do with marketing the film. I have viewed how other films have been marketed through social media as an example. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube are the sites that will be utilized. So, today I’m creating a gmail account that will be connected to all the social media. When creating the account of course I had to think of the group and created the account with more of a professional attire. So currently the name under the gmail is "Jack Production Company".  Jack being the name of the short film my group will be making. After that I made the Twitter and Facebook. Facebook was a issue compared to making the Twitter, the name of the page is an issue. But other than that everything else has been made easily. The YouTube and the Instagram were created easily with just signing up with Google. Now later this week I will begin creating the website for this project. I’ve seen so many talented websites associated with promoting films and I sing think I can come glide close to it. But alas, I’ll do my best. Below is the Twitter account that i made.

I started the opening of the play with a gradual opening to create a bit of suspense but, also to give the audience some time to get ready. The added track shot also adds a feel of the audience being their walking with jack, it's overall more intimate. Then after the track shot, there is a fast shot of the play and or movie getting straight to the point. (starting the show) The black screen transition is untimely to show the audience that one scene has ended and that was moving on to something else. This helps with older audience viewers as well guiding them to the next scene. The close-up shots added also add drama with it being a shot that happens out of nowhere. Also, the back and forth shots of jack's pacing add suspense as well to over exaggerate the feeling that's taking place.                                                  Research Blog: Soft (2007)               Soft (2007) is a tense short film drama directed by Simon Ellis. The film is fifteen minutes long and depicts the terrorizing of a father and son by neighborhood teens. Throughout the film we see the emotions of the characters. The father remains visibly scared of the young teens but the son remains angry. The director uses close ups to give the audience a better understanding of the characters emotions. The conflict of the film is that while they are being terrorized the father doesn’t want to retaliate because of his fear and tries to keep the son from doing anything. Planning for my Spalding Basketball commercial

                                                           Planning Blog  Props   There won't really be too much if any props in the commercial. Costumes   In the commercial, the actor(s) will have on appropriate gym clothes. He will wear athletic gym shorts, with a tank top that is playable in. Basketball shoes would have to be mandatory, for grip on the court and best performance. The actor may wear compression tights, depending on the conditions.
